New domain name scam

Please be aware that there is a new domain name scam being undertaken by a company called Domain Registry of America (DROA).

This one is slightly different in that they send you an invoice first then a few days later try and transfer the domain to themselves.

This is a blatant scam committed by a company you should not want your domain to be managed by. If you get one of these, give us a call on (08) 8219 9925.

.CN domain registrations no longer available

Domain TakeAway wishes to advise that the CNNIC (China) domain registry has announced a hold on all .CN registrations from overseas registrars.

As a result of this suspension, the ability to register .CN domains has been disabled and any pending registrations suspended.

If you have .CN domains, though, don't panic. All .CN domain services will continue to operate, including renewals. However, orders for new .CN domains will fail and we will also not be able to accept inbound transfers of .cn domain names.

At the moment, there is no timetable for the resumption of new registrations. We will keep you posted as new information becomes available.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
